The secret is out! When your regular workout routine isn’t cutting it anymore, it may be time to kick it up a notch…or two! Of course it is always important to be safe when trying out new workouts and make sure you don’t hurt yourself. Besides a basic exercise ball or weights, some of the equipment I like to use to heighten my workouts are:
Booty Bands – The Tone It Up girls were on point when they created the Booty Bands for a little extra resistance during workouts. The bands come in a set of two; one for strengthening and one for fine toning. You will definitely feel the burn and use core muscle groups doing plank walks or side lunges with these bands!
Slide n Sculpt Disc – Another Tone It Up favorite that really focuses on putting all of your energy into your core/abs to stabilize while using are the Slide n Sculpt Disc. These disc are reversible and can be used on hard surface floors or carpet, and allow you to reach muscle groups that are rarely accessible when doing traditional exercises. I like to use mine to do floor sprints and oblique pushups for a little extra challenge.
Sweat Sauna Suit – Investing in a Sweat Sauna Suit will take your workout to the next level! These suits are known to pull out water and impurities from the body and can increase the amount of calories burned during cardio exercise. I think using the suit for a short term weight loss tool is a good idea, but should not be prolonged or used to substitute the hard work needed to achieve long term results.
Ankle/wrist weights – Another great tool to use to strengthen and achieve lean muscles are ankle/wrist weights. By adding the 3-5 lb weights to your ankles or wrist during a cardio workout can further the resistance you would normally get with your own body weight. Don’t run from the pain, embrace it!
Water 💦- Lastly, but probably the most important way to see greater workout results is by drinking water. I know it seems simple and pretty obvious but water provides so many benefits for the body and we all need it to survive. The more water you drink, the more you will sweat, and sweating is the best way to release toxins from the body. So, stay hydrated and you are sure to see those results you are looking for. 😃
How do you take your workouts to the next level? Until next time Roadies!
