“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.” – Mary Anne Radmacher
The Liz Hurley 5K Ribbon Run is a monumental event held every year in Huntsville, AL to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Each year I look forward to gathering with everyone in the community to celebrate the survivors, bring awareness to an epidemic that is impacting so many, and raise funds to purchase leading diagnostic equipment and technology to find a cure. This year, my sister formed a team, Breast of the Best, to walk/run in the 5K. Although it rained the entire time, everyone maintained a positive attitude and encouraged each other to make it to the finish line. I always feel so happy to know that what we are doing is really making a difference in our community. Overall, nearly $300,000 of donations were made and 6,500 people showed up to the race. I am so proud of everyone and look forward to next years run to support such a worthy cause.
