What a time to be a Alabama football fan! ROLL TIDE!
This past weekend was like no other experience I have had before, and to think that it all happened on a whim is absolutely amazing to me. I was planning on it being a pretty lazy weekend filled with doing some household chores and watching Netflix, when I got the text late Friday night asking what I had planned for the weekend. I quickly replied, “Nothing at all,” and was asked if I wanted to go to the game. “What game?” I confusingly asked, not even realizing what day it was 😂. “The SEC Championship football game, DUHHH!” was my friends response. Now most people that know me know I am not a huge football fan. Watching the games on tv rarely hold my attention for more than five minutes, and most of that time is filled with asking what the flags mean and what’s a 4th and ten lol. Even though I was kind of weary about breaking my binge watching, I said why not when my friend told me she had an extra ticket to the game.
We headed out early Saturday morning to beat the traffic, but still managed to get caught in a monsoon of storms on the way. We were so relieved to make it to the hotel and freshen up before it was time to head to the game. Upon arrival at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the streets were flooded with Alabama and Georgia fans. I was so excited to see the fans interaction as these two rivalry schools battled it out for the championship position.
