After a lazy weekend, it’s time to kick of those pajamas and get glam for a new week. Having a fun and fresh makeup routine is a great way to start a Monday morning and set the tone for a fabulous week.
I like to start off with a clean face and apply moisturizer and primer. I have found that this is a critical step to ensure the application of your makeup goes on smoothly and stays longer.
Next, I apply a liquid foundation to even out my skin tone and concealer in the more troubled areas. I like to use a lighter color concealer under my eyes and on the bridge of my nose to highlight those areas.
After blending all the concealer in, it’s time to bake! I apply a setting powder under my eyes and T-zone that is known for getting oily. While the setting powder is doing it’s magic, I create a smokey eye using the Morphe 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette.
Now that the eyes are done, I dust off the remaining setting powder and apply a darker brown contour powder. I like to contour the sides of my nose, forehead, cheekbone, and under my chin to give a more chiseled look.
After contouring, I apply a wine colored blush to the apple of my cheeks and a shimmering highlight to the bridge of my nose, cheekbones, and cupids bow. I love to glisten with a pretty rose gold highlighter to accentuate those features of my face.
Next, depending on how you like your brows, I like to fill mine in using a brow defining powder. This helps to give my brows shape and look fuller than they are.
The look can’t be complete without applying lashes and mascara to finish off the eyes and a bold lip color to seal the deal.
Lastly, don’t forget to set your face with setting spray for the final touch to ensure your face stays fresh and vibrant all day long.
