Swimsuit season is here! Whether you love to hangout at the beach or chill by the pool, finding a great swimsuit is so important for these Summer days ahead. This season is all about prints and colors. I love tie dye and marble patterns to add an extra spunk. Tribal prints and florals are also perfect for creating a festive look for a Summer day party. The swimsuit trends have definitely changed over the years, and it seems like the 90’s are making a comeback with the high-cut thong bikinis being seen more frequently. Not brave enough to flaunt your stuff in a thong? No worries. There is definitely a swimsuit out there for every body.
Two-piece bikini: If you want to show off your midriff and get a full body tan, a two-piece bikini is just right for you. Luckily, there are multiple styles of two-piece swimsuits to fit every body types.
Large bust: Women with a larger bust should opt for a bathing suit top that comes in their bra size and has an underwire to provide maximum support. Having a thicker adjustable strap on your top is so important to ensure your security while riding the waves.
Small bust: For a smaller bust, it’s all about creating the illusion that your chest is larger. Wearing a cute print on top to enhance the area can actually create volume and accentuate your curves. Also, don’t be afraid to go for a padded bra top if needed to achieve the desired look.
Large bottom: Similar to the bathing suit top, you want to try to minimize a larger bottom by wearing solid colors and more full coverage like a high waisted bottom. But if you don’t mind showing it all off go for that thong girl!
Small bottom: There are definitely more options for someone with a smaller bottom to wear. You can wear pretty much any cut of swimsuit bottoms, but a cheekier bottom is sure to make your bum look bigger and rounder.
Tankini: To me, a tankini is the best of both worlds. While it is still a two-piece swimsuit, it provides that extra coverage over the back and stomach that some women may not want to be seen. Add in a fun design and you are ready to go!
One-piece: These are not your average one-piece swimsuits! There are so many cute options to choose from that provide great support and coverage for the more modest girl. One piece swimsuits are a sure way to cover up any unwanted belly fat or provide those feminine lines to create curves. My favorite would have to be a solid black which can double as a bodysuit when going out around town.
Rash Guard: Trying to ward off the sun or protect yourself from the harsh currents? A rash guard may be best suited for you. This stylish swimsuit style isn’t just for surfers any more, and provides the most protection from the sun’s rays and salt water.
So, what is your go-to swimsuit style? The most important thing to remember when shopping is to find a swimsuit that makes you feel good. Check out some of my favorite trendy swimsuit options for your body type below. Enjoy these Summer months, and just keep swimming.
